Title: "Pull" type starter switch??
Post by: 1955CJ-5 on December 20, 2020, 08:12:53 PM
I visit a forum dedicated to British cars, MGA's in particular.

They have as much trouble with reproduction parts as anyone.

Starter switches are a common topic...the repops just don't last.

Someone pointed this out.

This is the same style switch that is used on MGA, Morris Minor and probably many others.

The one I have(pictured) is marked "Made in England" But the makers name is gone..probably Lucas or Smiths...

I've never seen this type switch on a jeep or even advertised by vendors to fit a jeep of any vintage...

Anyone seen this type on a jeep?

Not sure if there's a Willys car that might use that type switch but I've not seen one on a jeep.  That ebay link shows the seller from India.

I have often seen advertisements for parts that are clearly not correct for a jeep be advertised as "fits Willys" just to hopefully make a sale.
