Title: naked block weight

what would be the weight of a striped down block, 53 f 134, i,m guessing around 150 to 200 pounds

Thought I'd responded to this (but I must've hit the "back" button instead) and provided some information.  The F-head weighs about 470 lbs. from here:

But that's with everything.  Then I was looking up info on the airbreather hose and found KW sells those new blocks, Allied I think.  The block should be pretty much the same for either F or L head and on their link for that block a question was asked how much it weighs:

KW's answer was about 88 lbs. (I wonder if that was supposed to be 188lbs).

thanks Rus, i have the block hanging on a engine stand  and looking at the size of the block and the thickness, it would be close to 188 like you suggest, easily being lift by two men , after i have check for cracks i will send for machining .
