Does anyone have the location of the hood catches on the front fender? I am finishing up my body kit and, I cannot find any "exact" location to drill the holes in the hood and fender for the attaching screws.

Bob,
From my collection of what used to be 4 hoods and several fenders, there were subtle differences between them. Maybe the parts were drilled during the stamping process. Maybe the holes were added after assembly. I really don't know, but having a set match after the body parts are attached to the jeep would make sense.
I ended up using the hood holes as a guide and moved the fender holes to be right below (only needed on one fender).
I wonder if getting a consensus on hole locations would get you "in the ball park" on location? I wouldn't be surprised to hear some measurements matching. I have a 3B but will measure and add if you think it will help.

Hi BobM
I took a measurement of my 1950 Jeep. It has its original fenders.
Picture attached of my chicken scratch drawing.
The drawing is of the driver side. Curve is obviously the outer curved front edge. Zeros are from the corner of the flat part of the fender.
The holes are 1.5 inches apart, and are of a diameter for clearance for 1/4 machine screws.
Hope this helps.

Perfect! Thanks a ton squidtone!
I think Russ might be on to something. I wonder how many hood and fender combinations would actually "line Up"? I am going to match your location. That fender location on the spring latch, seems to put the first hole on the hood catch just behind the grill.

Mine are 1" further back from the front than Rus' numbers. 2 5/8" and 4 1/8".
