Title: How do you remove light switch knob on dash?

I'm a bit embarrassed to ask: How do you remove the light switch knob? I want to remove the whole switch from the dash, but I don't know how to remove the knob from the shaft.
It's all kind of crusty, so I can't see if there's a set screw or what on the knob. Does it thread off?

On another note, how is the ignition switch removed? Does the bezel thread off? I'm hoping to save all this stuff...I've even got the key for it.

You are correct. The headlight switch knob has a small set screw and the Ignition switch bezel unscrews.
