I had good luck mixing some nice bearing grease and 90 weight oil. Had to heat the two in a soup can to get it to blend together. Let it sit a couple of days and it didn't separate back into grease and oil. I made it runny enough that it flows veryyyyyyyy slloooowwwly. Almost like honey. Pumped it into the steering box with a grease syringe and never looked back. It flows unlike grease, but is too thick to run out of the seal.

that was some great info on the corn head grease

I tried Multi Luber in mine first which is a pourable grease sold by John Deere. It still leaked a little with that so I used a syringe and pumped it full of corn head grease. Its good stuff.

Ryan, just what is corn head grease? Is that the concoction of mixing grease and oil?

View the video in my post above. Pretty much tells the story.

Corn head grease is working great. I replaced the top of the steering box with a grease nipple and just filled it up. I still need to rebuild my steering box but this will certainly buy me time. The corn head grease doesn't leak out.
