Title: Random Ewillys Spotting
Post by: Operation Overlord on November 11, 2015, 01:38:47 AM
Anybody seen one of these handles?  Saw it on an Ewillys post. Its attached to windshield.  What does it do?

Looks like it flips down into the coffee-cup-holder position.

Maybe it's there to hold the shift lever so it doesn't pop out of second :D

But a cupholder is more likely....

I actually own this same jeep now so was happily surprised to see it here.  It is a '52 CJ3a and I'm pretty sure that bracket was used to hold a rifle-- at least that is what we did with it and it worked great.

I've searched high and low but could not find anything like it.  It is mounted nicely as if it belongs to the rig but...  who knows?

Funny about the shift lever holder...  it would be useful in this case as this rig certainly lives up to that reputation.

Well there you have it!  Pascal wins!

Hunter,
Welcome to the 3A Page.  Around these parts, we're all a little sick when it comes to these old 3As.  We scour the web looking for 3As and parts for 3As.  It seems that anything a little unusual will show up here eventually.

I haven't seen this type of "official" accessory before, but that doesn't mean much.  Every time I think I've got these damn things figured out, I find that I know very little. :-?
