Does any body have a drawing with measurements of were to position the side top bow brackets. PO did not install any of the brackets for the top bows. Got most of the mesaurements for the other top bow brackets and footman loops for both the 2A & 3A. Thanks

I might be wrong but I don't think the 3a had side top bow storage brackets....unless the early ones with the bottom mount radiator had them....

CJ3A come in 1949-1953.
I heard that some of late CJ2A 1948 was sold as 3A 1949.
Normally, 3A does'nt have side top bow bracket.
I would like to know the serial # of your jeep.

I assume you are talking about the brackets on the tub, rear of front seats that the top bows slip into. Attached is measurements Dan from Beachwood Canvas sent me. Hope this helps

Birddog,
Your thread title mentions 'storage' brackets. As others have mentioned, the 3A had no provisions for storing the top bows on the Willys. This is one fairly quick way to determine if the tub is a 3A or a 2A.
Two other ways to determine a 2A vs 3A tub...
Wheel house length on a 2A...34ish inches. 3A...32ish inches.
Ignition switch position on a 2A...Way over toward the center of the dash. 3A...up and to the right of the steering wheel tube shaft.
Hope this helps.
