Title: Ignition Coil Mount "D" spacers..
Post by: 1955CJ-5 on July 05, 2013, 09:08:37 PM
There were two spacers when I took it apart...

But with a spacer on each stud...

The coil mount/clamp still rides on that flat where the "Z" is stamped....

Should there be 4 "D" spacers?

Or should the two I have both be on the same stud?

For now i put flat washers under the spacers....

Mine only has two. I'll look to see how the '49 is tomorrow.

Thanks Nate,

I just went out and looked at it again....When I first held the coil clamp up to the studs the coil was not clamped in....

But now with the coil secured in the clamp the clamp mount holes are closer together and it mounts up just fine and everything clears...
