Are the springs and washers supposed to go below the tub ? Or, behind the pedals on top of the tub ?

Pretty sure it goes below to seal up the pedal holes when you don't have your foot on the pedal..but lots of jeeps are completely missing all that stuff, mine included.

Mine were on top, but I figured they should go under. It would also soften the release of the clutch pedal. So, the pedal wont slam into the tub when you release the clutch.

Yes they go below the tub to seal the holes. Hense the name pedal draft seal kit. ;)

Hey, don't feel bad.  I put mine on a couple of weeks ago and had to look for a picture to double check I put them in the right spot.  Cut me some slack..it was after midnight on Saturday night and I might have had a few drinks  ::)

Yes below tub.
It goes in this order: lever arm, spring (big side to firewall), washer, pad, firewall then the pedal arm thru it all.
