Title: Timing mark
Post by: Judge on January 27, 2013, 06:28:48 PM: I have ï¿½a Hesse Hornet air compressor . These are basically a L134 Jeep engine running on 2 cy's and pumping air on the other 2. ï¿½ I want to check timing and note there is a "pointer" on the block right over the front pully with a T ï¿½and 5. ï¿½OK, TDC and 5 degrees before TDC, I assume. ï¿½Now I need a mark on the pulley --BTW it is a double pulley, although only on is used for the governor --no alt or gen. ï¿½There is a small V notch on the inside pully. ï¿½Is this the mark I ï¿½need to time it? ï¿½thanks ï¿½
