Title: Heat riser==L134
Post by: Judge on December 11, 2012, 07:43:12 PM: I took the manifold off the L134 engine on my Hesse Hornet compressor to repair ï¿½the broken stud where the exhaust pipe attaches. ï¿½ While it was off, I took the Carter off and and took it apart to clean it. . So now, a couple of weeks later, I can't figure out how the coiled spring on the heat riser goes. There is a metal "tab" attached to one of the four bolts on the junction where the exhaust and intake manifolds meet, ï¿½HOWEVER I cannot remember if the end of the spring goes under or over this tab. ï¿½Help, and thanks. ï¿½

Post by: bretto on December 12, 2012, 02:49:25 PM: I wouldn't go getting it redhot like that with a torch. Use a heat gun if anything.
