Title: maiden voyage
Post by: bretto on August 26, 2012, 10:12:01 AM: After bending fuel lines and installing them and such, I figured well this is it, time to dump some fuel in!. ï¿½It didn't want to start! ï¿½After much looking at this and that and that and this again, getting zapped by the coil, I found that I had all 4 sparky wires clocked wrong. ï¿½I had to rotate all 4 clockwise. ï¿½Tried it again and smoke filled the garage (from the engine being flooded from previous attempts).
Let it warm up to temp, dropped it into 1st dumped the clutch and off I went. ï¿½Good oil. temp and such. ï¿½Of course the kids had to join in. :)
Still lots to do but big day non the less.
YEAH!

Fortunately I have the stock rear seat. ï¿½Just one of the many things left to do.

Certainly has come a long ways since the first time I saw it. And with just two visits along the way I know how detailed every step you have taken has been. That's really a thorough rebuild to be proud of. Anxious to see it again in person.
