I'm in a spot where I have a 129 tooth gear on my fly wheel and actually need the 124 tooth set up. I've been hearing alot of just heat the old one up slip it off and heat the new one up...... is it that easy?
I'm not looking for another steering wheel experience, that SOB took three days to get off.
Thanks,
-John

You should be able to use a hammer and punch and work your way around the ring gear to drive it off. If you have a oxy acy torch you can lay the new ring gear on four fire bricks and heat it to a dull red and with tongs drop it on the flywheel. Be sure to completely clean the area where the ring gear will go on the flywheel.
If you've never done something like that before it will be an experience you can tell others about. ;D
