I was able to do this all by myself by utilizing my old vintage Coffing hoist that is probably older than the M38.
How about those wheels? :-[(http://i1201.photobucket.com/albums/bb356/1brale/M38%20restore/IMG_0662.jpg)

Looking good Brett. The tub going back on was one of the most exciting moments for me. I wish I had the removable floor of the M38. Threading the needle with the shift tower and steering column in place on my 3A was a bit of a trick. Your paint looks great.
This was mock up day.

Following floor pan and hat channel replacement, I needed to make sure all the mounts lined up.
I used this to pull and reset the engine also.

Thanks Tim. Getting closer and closer each day!
Ya, those loaders have many more uses than just dirt. :)

Boy that brings back memories of I guess two summers ago now. I put the body on the jeep a couple of times before my dad got home since I got so worked up about it. After we painted it I had the thing lined up to go on annnnnd I bashed the back quarter right into one of the back rollbar posts. The first of many scrapes to come I'm sure.
Looking great, love the M38

Exciting day, Brett!!!
I don't get to your end of the state as often as I used to, but when I do get there again I'll have to come by for another ongoing saga visit.
