Title: Oil pressure line question
Post by: dluyk on March 12, 2012, 08:39:20 PM
Took the CJ out for the first run of the year today. Seems to be leaking a bit of oil
from under the 90 degree fitting - I have a feeling it's been doing this for a while.

Any fixes - or would you suggest I just replace the fitting and oil flex line gauge?

By the way - we worked on the rear breaks this winter and all the input you provided was very
helpful. And it stops!! a bit faster.

I would put some thread sealant on it. DO NOT use teflon tape. Small amount of pipe dope should do the trick.

If you do decide to replace the flex line DO NOT buy a foreign made one, they dry out and crack in short order. Walck's has the good ones.
