Title: Donaldson air filter maintenance instructions
Post by: Bob W on August 11, 2011, 09:19:46 PM
Todd G. just sent me a scan of a Donaldson service bulletin about servicing FGA/Oil bath air cleaners. I posted it on my website here...

The majority of all CJ-3As used Donaldson oil bath air filters. Thanks Todd for sharing this information!!!

Nice!  Very neat information, but I don't think I will be able to keep up with servicing the filter daily..... :-?

Unless someone drives a whole lot in very dusty conditions, servicing the oil bath once a year is enough.

Thats the same air cleaner we put on a lot of agricultural tractors, Farmall, Case, Oliver, John Deere... those instructions are based on the worst kind of conditions that they would run into. So yeh, once a year to change the oil in the bath, probably want to flush it when you do the resto, then you should be good for a while.
