Title: High Beam indicator

Didn't pay much attention to holes on the dash but was puzzled on this one as it's not shown on dash layout. I found out it is for a governor control if so equipped

I had a high beam (tell tale) light as part of my wiring harness but didn't have the cover for the bulb so I got a snap in bezel from Ace and an L bracket and hose clamp. Just drilled a hole where the bulb would be centered in the bezel and put a nut and bolt through dash and hose clamp for the ground connection hooked it up to foot switch and good to go.

What did you use for the hole where that indicator usually goes?

Nothing I just left it open. For what ever reason the socket part of the lamp would not fit in the opening and without a cover I wasn't going to mess with that little hole. It is only .315 diam. and no idea what an original set up looks like.

The original socket is a funny looking little thing but works pretty well. Here's a pic I just stole from Walck's website. $10.45. Not nearly as creative as yours though.

My original was toast when I got the jeep, drilled out the original hole and installed an LED version, works good, looks good. And its Red too.

Interesting.
When I got my 3B, the Hi Beam indicator didn't work. Found the wire had been disconnected under the hood.
Why?
Which ever PO converted from 6V to 12 V didn't switch the bulb in the indicator.
Why?
The housing of the indicator was rusted together and I couldn't get it apart to change the bulb.
So
I just put a resistor in series with the wire out by the headlight terrminal block. So now the 6V bulb glows nicely in a 12V system without blowing out.
If anybody wants to know the value of the resistor, I'll go back and look at what I put in (4 years ago) and post it.
