i already know the correct paint for the body and such but what about other components like the fan blade or oil bathe air cleaner or the regulator etc i though about picking up a can of gloss but maybe semi gloss would be better?

I'm allergic to any "gloss" under the hood. I think you would be very happy with a "satin black". VHT Epoxy satin black, or Duplicolors "low gloss black" engine enamel are both great options. The VHT is good to 250 degrees. The engine enamel is good to 500+. I use the VHT for all kinds of stuff around the jeep and my home.
