Hello, I've removed the yoke and I am now trying to remove the pinion. It doesn't seem to want to budge. Would appreciate any ideas on the best way to remove the pinion. It appears to be in good shape so I'd like to get it out without damaging it.....

It's been a while... But I just looked at the parts diagram and it says what I remember. I don't think there's anything other than the yoke nut holding that in place. If you tap on the threaded end with a mallet, I think it should move inward (into the diff).

Tap on it with a hammer. Just be sure not to mushroom the end of the pinion. Thread the nut on there to help protect the treads and use a block of hardwood as a cushion between the hammer and pinion.

Thanks! Put the nut back on and used my brass hammer. Came right out.
