I am in the middle of rebuilding my rear hubs. I have the new inner oil seals and bearings in and packed with grease. Shims, bearing retainer and backing plate installed as well. All that is left is the gasket - outer seal - gasket - cover. Do I need to use any kind of sealant between the gaskets? Dry? Permatex?
Thanks

You are probably fine if you install them dry. That said, I coat all surfaces with a very thin layer of Permatex 2.

Permatex sounds like a good idea. After all this work I don't wanna pull it all apart if there's grease all over the brakes.

Don't worry about it Lige. It just stops all the squeaks. ;D

Mine wasn't that bad! I would post pics but I don't have a photobucket account. Is there any other way to attach pics?

Figured it out but the pics are all goofy :D. Sorry - I'm new at this.
