so all my parts are done cleaning and im now reassembling the carb and this part has me worried if i can use it or not my original is top and new one bottom this is from the master rebuild kit

Also where do these go 1st pic and what goes in the hole 2nd pic and which one to use 3rd pic

#1. The bottom unit screws into the threaded hole in the bowl cover. The top one is incorrect.
#2. If I'm seeing it right, the top piece is useless. Please show me your Metering Rod Tension Spring. It has a square bend.
#3. The brass tube is the main nozzle for a post-war carb. Most kits contain both it and war-time piece.
#4. The aluminum washer is placed over the hole that the Metering Rod passes through on the bowl cover. The rod passes through it as well.
#5. The hooked spring is the Choke Return Spring.
#6. If you are referring to the open threaded port in the throttle body you have two choices. If you have a Vacuum Advance Distributor, that's where the vacuum line hooks up. If not, plug it with a 1/8" NPT fine pipe plug.
#7. Your choice. Either will work fine. The one with the ball arm is for a motor with a belt drive governor.

thats all the parts i got left and ive got the carb all back together the best i can but i for the life of me cant figure out this mess

also whats the proper way to set/adjust the cables

Setting the choke cable: With the choke cable handle all the way into the dash, set the cable as shown. Holding the choke plate fully vertical with the spring pin touching the inside wall, snug the lock screw on the cable itself. Then tighten sheath clamp.
Setting the throttle cable: With the throttle cable handle all the way into the dash, set the cable as shown. Thread the cable through the block. Install the cable lock on the cable leaving about a 1/4" gap between it and the lever.

this was some great info thank you and i now need to adjust the carb for idle and mixture etc

Do you have a vacuum gauge and a dwell/tach?

That's half of the kit. Now all you need is a vacuum gauge.
