Still working on the wiring and when replacing the headlight harness I noticed a large washer that is slid over the harness and is located inside the headlight bucket. Cant really seam to figure out the washers purpose and how it mounts. Its just hanging free on the harness inside the bucket. Anyone know?

The washer is a strain relief device. There should be another piece crimped around the harness too. The "piece" won't fit through the washer, and the washer won't fit through the hole in the bucket, so the harness can not be pulled out of the bucket thereby avoiding any strain on the headlight connector.

Just checked my original harness and the crimped pieces are there. Ill move them to my reproduction harness tomorrow.

I'd like to know how you threaded the new wiring harness through the grommet in the headlamp bucket? The Walcks harness headlamp connectors do not seem to be able to be removed easily. And the connectors for the "directionals" don't seem to come off easy either?

Hope I am answering you correctly. I purchased a Walcks harness and new grommets for the buckets. I fed the new wires through the front of the bucket then slid the grommet on the wires from the back up to the back of the bucket. It was tight but if you take your time they will go on.
The parking lights were a little tricky.The new harness comes with parking light wires with the ends cut so I pushed the old wires from the back out the front of the parking light sockets. The metal bulb tips are crimped to the old wires so I cut them off right where they connect to the old wires. Next I made a holder in some wood to hold the metal tips. Just a hole drilled in some wood will do. Then I took a very small drill bit and drilled the old wire out of the tips. I then heated up the tip and filled the drilled out section with solder. Then I stripped the new wire to the size of the hole in the tip. Next I fed the new wire through the back of the grill out the front. I heated up the tip again and when the solder is molten I stuck the new wire in. After it cools I pulled the new wire with the original bulb tip back into the socket. Works perfect and looks original. Also dont forget to slide the bulb spring on the new wire before soldering.

I would love to see pics of your parking lamp set up..
I was able to get my headlamp harness into the buckets last night, seems to be done well, what a pain they are though. I drilled out my metal washer to allow that to slide better over the passenger side.

Here is a pic of the new wire inserted through the back of the parking light housing with the original bulb contact tip soldered to the end of the new wire.
