I have taken the leaf packs apart and found this... Any idea if this kind of spring was ever used in a Willys? Only one spring like this.

Yes.
The springs with the groove were factory at irregular intervals.
They were made by Eaton.
If each spring leaf tapers to the edge, they are Mather.
And then there was Ligget. Can't tell you any more.
It is very common to find a mixed bag of springs on an old Willys. Owners would replace only the spring they broke, not knowing or caring about matching springs on an axle - just like tires.
