Title: Windshield gasket lock bead
Post by: Glen on May 25, 2019, 05:17:44 PM
So so we went to put the windshield back in an can't find the lock bead. Does anyone have a place to get just the lock. We have the main gasket still and was hopping to not have to buy a whole lot.

Going to double check the garage again but I have a feeling it is long gone.  :(

Hey Glen, I replaced my windshield gasket with a new one from Wakcks. I think my old locking strip is in a box in the garage, unfortunately I broke about 2 inches off when I pulled it out. Ill see if I can find it and if you cant find one Ill send it to you. Probably about $4 for postage. It would work as a temporary fix.
OK took a look , I have it, it is about 1 1/2 short, thought I saved the piece but could not find it. Anyway let me know if you need it. Postage to Canada will be about $8-10 US I think.
In the meantime I think I would call around to some auto glass places, they might have a roll of it.
