Title: Bikini Top Question

So I scored a like-new Bestop Bikini top on craigslist for $25!! It is for a CJ5 but I am going to try to trim it to fit.  My question is about attaching it to the windshield frame.  I actually have a CJ2A windshield on my 3A.  It has the holes in it from the previous hardware but no hardware.  I know that the originals used those twist-lock "common sense" fasteners but I cant find them locally.  Stainless snaps are available at the local hardware store and are alot cheaper.  Will these work?  Will they pull off in the wind?  I am going for functionality so I dont care about it looking correct - I just want it to work!  All thoughts and opinions welcome

how did it go ? it's very hard to find a top that fits right and uses the rope channel.
