Title: A Cruel Mistress - Mother Nature
Post by: Gunslinger on April 05, 2018, 09:44:29 AM
Good Day,
Its April 5th 2018, the fourth month of January.  It is now a balmy 12 degrees outside, the snow started on April 2, ended late on the 3rd and dropped 9 inches on us.  This afternoon it starts again.  We have gotten more snow in March and April than we did in October, November and December combined.  Thank goodness for a heated garage and a lot of projects.

That snow is looking good to us guys 'way out west'.  We're at about half of our normal annual snowfall for the season and there is no relief to the drought in sight.  It's looking like a long dry summer, Lee.  You can keep those cold temps though - not missing that!   >:(

I wish we were having a dry winter up here, today is day 202 with snow on the ground, and no sign of a melt for at least two more weeks. I havent seen my lawn since mid September  [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif] thats a long time when you have a fair weather Willys.

OK do any of you guys have a bridge for sale?  I need a place to jump from!  Its snowing and thundring right now, I have a flight to Knoxville in a couple hours, thank you Delta for moving me up a day, as we are supposed to get another 8-12 inches of that white manure tonight.  Last year at this time the lakes were all open, it was 60 degrees out,and I was laid up after knee surgery.  Two years in a row with no spring!  Where is Erma Bombeck when you need her!

I can't even imagine y'all getting snow this late, but then again, we only get snow about once every five or six years or so
