Title: A bird, a plane ...a Jeep?
Post by: calvinhunt on June 14, 2011, 01:23:52 AM
I was driving through Moab, Utah, the other day I stopped just outside of town to take this photo. There are no signs indicating a business. It is just outside a junk yard (not really a auto wrecking yard because there are few cars, just lot of junk). I think the Jeep is to indicate old vehicle parts available or something. Not much change since it was put up about a year ago. Just thought it my be of interest to my 3A brothers, even though it's a 2A.

I checked to see if it's all there or just a shell. The engine, drive train, etc., are all in place. I've seen projects made of less of a Jeep than this. Seems like the owner could sell it for enough to put up a sign.

He probably would need to obtain a special permit for a sign.  ;D

AAAH but you remember the flying jeep, and can you honestly remember the sign next door to this place?

Just a few miles from there at the HOLE IN THE ROCK  tourist attraction is another flatfende made into a display piece. That one is pretty stripped out and lightweight, If I can find my pics of it I will post. It is at the place that has the jeep covered in scrap metal.

It's been years since I stopped in at the Hole In The Rock.  I drive past it often.  I'll stop and see if I can find the poor Jeep made into a piece of modern art.  Please do post the pics if you find them. Thanks.
