Title: engine block # starts with 4J
Post by: LJM52 on February 06, 2018, 04:27:09 PM
Hi gang, does anyone have an idea what a block #with a 4J is? I've read other areas talk about a 4LR as a replacement engine. This motor sits in a jeepster  commando, not sure if it's the original frame though. If anyone can shed some light, thanks

Can you post a photo of the engine serial?

Is it an L-134 Go Devil engine or maybe an F-134?

Could it possibly be a "4T" prefix?

4J does make sense for the F-134.  This was a common power upgrade for older Flat Fender Jeeps, but generally required a hood modification.

Show us some more photos.  We all like photos.

the engine sits in a 71 jeepster commando I picked up for a plow vehicle. My son drove it his junior year of high school then took it off the road.
