Thanks so much for information.
Have you ever seen an operational unit?
This part was in the dash juct above the tachometer not sure what it is looks to allow something to be pluged into it.
Any ideas?
Do you have hard copys of this information or how I can obtain them>

I have not seen one of these Jeeps in person. What is the serial number of your Jeep?

Give me your e-mail address and I will send you higher resolution scans of those pages from the Willys Equipment Book.

That part looks like a piece of the governor control.

I thought someone mite find this of intrest.I took my engine to be rebuilt along with the carberator. I picked it up a few weeks later to find the carberator installed linkage and all. This was a surprise to me because I had not given the linkage to the rebuilder. The real surprise was the linkage went up over the valve cover.I have not looked at alot of linkage set ups but I knew that my linkage was on the back of the block.I have done some checking and find that the linkage on the back of block is used on early willys pickups and wagons. The over head valve F 134 was not put into the Willys Jeep untill 1953 and my jeep is a 1952.Look close at the picture of open hood and engine and you can see the linkage at the back of block and not over the valve cover.
It is my opinion that Szekely was useing the truck or wagon engine in the APU that had F 134 engine.
The link from the Carberator to the link that is boltedto the back of the block has also been lenghened I belive to give full throttle movement with padel.
Will post some progress soon so check back.
