It has been a battle at times but with the help and knowledge of members of the Jeep sites it has been and continues to be a very rewarding experience. Thank you all. I apologize for the wheels but it was a cost thing. Everything else is as stock as I could possibly keep it. So now the wrenching, maintainence and repairs continue and I sure look forward to driving it every day I can. Mac

Question...Why are you regulating your fuel pressure? I didn't think a Carter needed that.

Post by: Macgraham on June 14, 2013, 09:09:51 AM: Tim, It had a Solex carb when I got it. It didn't work well and I was told to add a fuel regulator and it helped a little but not enough to like it. Carlsjeep built a Carter for me and it has been great ever since. I just never took the regulator off. It will get a good test in August with Calvin and Carl in Utah.

What is the knob high in the dash over by the data plate? Mine has a cigarette lighter socket in that area.....lighter is long gone of course...

Post by: Macgraham on June 14, 2013, 11:47:53 AM: That is a lighter/power supply. It was there when I got it. My wife has an oxygen machine that we plug into it at higher altitudes.
