Title: New project..is this a M-762 flatbed?

We have a new project started. We found this trailer on an old farm and the owner had purchased it many years ago from the army and it had a generator on it.
All he wanted was the generator but his grandson thought he could use the trailer to haul his compressor so he changed the pintle hook to a 2" ball and added a different stand.
The back was like the front but someone cut the back off. It also appears to have had fenders at some time. It still has the 2 jerry can holders welded to the front.
We are putting new tires and bearings on it and trying to decide how we can modify it to work for our kayaks. Anyhow, I think we got a deal for $75.00!

Not a M-762 and doubtful it's a military one. That frame is pretty skimpy.

Yeah we can see where shocks and fenders were mounted and removed on ours. The po had cut the frame down after they removed the generator. We have removed everything else to prepare it for sand blasting. We are putting on new shocks, fenders and a tub.
