For the past 9 weeks I have been busy sanding, priming and painting
8 barges from the 1940's that were used as floating bridges in a few wars.
Thought you might like to see photo's - These barges are still in use - with a few modifications-
such as engines, horns and bilge pumps. It takes about 100 man hours to do each barge.
These are repainted each year.

Those are very cool, where did you get them? Dated Dec 44' they would have been late for D-day, maybe there to offload Jeeps and Shermans for the Battle of the Bulge perhaps,,,,or maybe at Inchon!?
