My 1950 CJ3A has a 1964 ford 260 v8 in it currently. I have been playing with the idea of swapping it out with a buick v6 or try to find the L head motor to put in. What should I do?

Well, I'm a fan of the original drive train, but if you're already used to the power offered by a larger engine, you might be a little disappointed.
I guess it comes down to what you want to do with this Willys.
Fun on the trails...a 'run around the farm' unit...or an attempt to give it back its original heritage...Slip in a L-134.
Daily driver? A bigger engine and better brakes may be a good choice for you.

I definitely recommend the standard Go Devil engine unless you plan on interstate and hiway driving.
In that case I suggest the smallest to largest displacement replacement engine to be the ...
GM 153, GM 181, Buick 198, Buick 225, Buick 231 and GM.4.3 in that order.

As much as i'd like to say I like having the power from the v8. It's killing the transmission. Also when the guy put the v8 in it, to fit the radiator he bugged the headlights out. Which has kinda started to grow on me. I'll get a pic posted today

sorry for the huge gap in time here is the bugged out headlights:

That's a creative solution to a problem. How about a few photos of the whole rig?
