Ryan, nice picture of the jeep. I do wish it still had that winch[ch128542]  I have started in on the steering. It was bad hope to have it all fixed up this weekend! I have been itching to go on the roads

I agree on the fun bombing around the yard. Ryan got me too.

Ryan is either a facilitator or an enabler. We havent quite decided which or if he is both.

Ryan,
You are a true ambasidor. You bring these old Willys back in to the light, then find them a new home with someone that will give them the respect they deserve. It's inspiring. :)

I take no credit - I'm only having fun. The real accolades should go to these guys who buy them and aren't afraid to dive in head first.

Welcome to the 3A Page. That's a fine looking rig. What year?

Allow me to jump in here, Alan.

Hawk - this is a '52 that I picked up in my travels a couple months ago. You have seen a fleeting glimpse of it before. Remember when I dragged home that PE-95 Genset last December? This 3A was at the same place but not for sale at that time. Long story short, I ended up eventually buying it, sans winch...

The engine runs great (better than any of my driver Jeeps !!) but the steering is pretty sloppy so Alan will have a good "trial by fire" first project to tackle.

I must say I knew he had the bug when he rolled out of my driveway for his first test ride. He and his daughter left with the windshield up but when they returned a few minutes later the windshield was folded down. Not sure whose grin was larger - his or hers. Good stuff.

Welcome to the 3A Page.  That's a fine looking rig.  What year?

It's rare to see a 3A sporting a 2A windshield.  Much more common to see 2As wearing the upgraded 3A shield.

Hey welcome Alan, this page is filed equally with "noobs" and mechanical genius's but all share a love for a 3A Willy's.

Hi everybody , I am new to this forum and to owning a cj3a!
I just purchased mine. I will post some photos soon. I am super excited to learn all about my new (old ) Jeep!
So far I have had loads of fun driving it with my kids around the yard. I have a lot to learn , I am a total noob when it comes to any sort of vehicle maintenance. So all helpful advice is welcome.
