Welcome aboard Matt.  Looks like a beautiful 3A.  Congratulations on you acquisition.

Colorado has a decent size congregation of Flat Fender folks.  We all get together on occasion.  The biggest is an annual event down in Nathrop, CO called the Fall Colors Tour.  It draws people in from all over the country.  If you ever want to put your Willys in its natural element,  and meet some of the nicest folks, maybe consider adding it to your 'Bucket List'.

She's a beauty!  When you get it all set, you may want to consider attending one of the "trail driving" events that a few of the guys put on for the old flatties.  Several in Colorado, Utah, Black Hills (next week).  The 2A page has the best listing of the trips.  Would love to see more photos of your 3A.

"GroovesMcFly"?...now that's one of the better names I have seen here!

Very nice!  Welcome aboard!

I like the color, Normandy Blue, I believe.  I plan to finish my refurbish with that color.

Cheer!

Hello everyone,

Just a few days ago, I purchased a 1953 CJ-3A from a guy who had spent a couple of years restoring it. It has the original 4-cyl engine and drivetrain. Need seat cushions in front and the whole seat in the back, tires, maybe a top. But it's in good shape and drives well.

I've always loved the old flatties -- now I finally have one of my own!
