Welcome LB,
My guess is that there are not to many Willy's Jeeps on Martha's Vineyard. Thanks for keeping the tradition alive. Looking forward to some pictures of your Navy 3A.

Welcome from the other end of the state! Please post some pics of your jeep. We'd love to see them!

Was the guy's name in Vermont Wayne by any chance?

Hi, Im from an island off of Massachusetts called Martha's Vineyard. I'm currently attending and playing lacrosse at Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. After many years of maintaining my Grandfather's Willys I am now the sole owner. The scheme of the Jeep is that of the Navy style as he was in the Naval Reserve and served on a cruiser. He loved the Willys so much after his tour he bought 4 or 5 different CJ3A's. He did this to get the right plates etc. and had it built/reassembled by an guy up in Vermont. It's a little over 10 years since the original restoration/reassembly and I've had to replace a plethora of parts to get it finally running. Still got some kinks to work out but I'm sure the community here has all the answers.

thanks,
lb
