There appear to be no other stampings under or on the existing boss numbers.  This one is very clear.  I can't speculate about the font used and what is appropriate font for 1951.

The serial number stamping doesn't appear to be in the original font type, so I suspect it has been restamped. Not that that really matters here. The engine block casting date code looks like 1951 which isn't correct for a CJV35, but certainly good for CJ-3A.

It is a very fair price for a running engine, good luck with your sale.

Interesting. V prefix serial number engines were originally CJV35 engines. Can you post a photo of the engine serial number?
