Hi everyone.
I've been on and off this Jeep community for many years. Just like my '53 project, it's a hot and cold thing.
as much as I dig these jeeps, I'm at a point that I'm seriously considering selling it.
I've had my '53 for almost 20 years and it still looks like the day I bought it. the mechanicals Are FAR better then that day! Which is to say it runs great! but it's at that point that it requires large ticket items to take it to the next level. it's currently geared at 4:11. I'm at 9000 ft so the carter carb can't pull enough air to keep the RPMs up an get up my hills in anything but first gear. the tub is fiberglass and I want it to be all metal, so no roof until it gets a new body... which would have to be painted.
so I think it's time to hand it to someone who can take it to that next level.
I have a lot of extras that will be part of the sale (all or nothing). things like a PTO, 11" brakes, shop manual, solex carb, 2nd carter carb...etc.
$7000 takes it!
If I get enough interest, I'll send photos or maybe post them
