Hi everyone,
I finally was lucky enough to found these pair of Hall Lamp taillights in pretty good condition. Lenses seem to be aftermarket replacements: Stratolite SAE.S.AI.T O36A. Will need to find the correct Stimsonite lenses.

Reading through Jeep Taillights on CJ3B https://www.cj3b.info/Dating/Taillights.html I understand Hall taillights became available to the 3B since 1957. Since my 3B is 1956 I should get ALA ones instead. Nevertheless later in the page it is stated that Hall Lamps were available in CJ5 since 1955. In my 1956 Part List Hall taillights are listed as a valid option but there is no reference since which serial number.

Any thoughts guys? Below are some pics of the ones I´ve got.

Regards,
Chris
Hi Chris,

Will you sell the spare pair of ALA lights you got?

Regards.

Those are nice ALA lamps. Good to be used on a cj3a. I have been looking for a set for a long time. Do let me know if you have a set to spare.

Nice score!  Those will dress up nicely!

And finally the so expected ALA taillights showed up, just when I was ready to install aftermarket repros. And they are actually two pairs so will have the chance to use the best ones.

There are also some spare glasses and rings, including black one that I guess they are early version or Naco.

Cheers

57384 24289. As Rus suggested, Hall taillights would be period correct but not factory correct. I can survive with that until some ALA taillights show up!  ;)
Thanks guys

Here is what Oldtime posted up a few...

"After some parts list sequencing and extrapolation I come up my best guess without further evidence.
AL was likely used prior to serial plate number 57348-33148.
So Chris what is your serial plate number ?"
