I have a DJ3A Dana-Spicer model 23 rear axle that I was going to take the carrier from to replace the sprung carrier on my GPW but I hate to part out a rare and complete rear axle just for that.  I don't know much about it, but they're supposedly all 4.56 ratio, 4-stud flanges, and used only on DJ3A's.  The brakes are locked and I have not removed the cover to look inside.  One of the drums is chipped (from trying to pry off?) and probably unusable.  If someone is serious about this I will open it up to determine the condition.  It's located in south east Wisconsin.  Is $100 a fair asking price?  That's probably less than I'll have to pay for a carrier.  I have a DJ3A frame available in another post. Thanx!
