My 53 CJ3a's rear springs have 10 leafs and the wide 1/3rd width groove down the middle of each leaf. I just noticed yesterday that my front leafs don't have the groove, and they are a bit thinner on the outer edges than in the center - tapered slightly. I don't recall the leaf-count. I'm wondering if the front leafs have been replaced at some point?
