This is finished ceiling in the bays with low profile LED lighting. These things are great as they only need about 2" of space to put a box and clip the light in.



Wall with my bins for nuts bolt and screws plus a little fold down sorting table that is working quite well



That is where my workbench will go 7' in my old shop almost ready to get it out.

Well we have had break in hot weather so can work setting up inside. Good progress and mostly how I pictured things working out. I built my box to exhaust hot air from shop but can't tell how effective it is although it was what we used to flush our whole house with years ago. It is quieter than I thought it would be and that is a good thing. Used osb even though I don't need it that heavy but plywood and paneling cost too much to justify using them.Slow computer so pic's a little later

Well we are cooking with Crisco now. I have my loft decked and sheathed



First bay pretty much done. it has my Welder, torch and metal items



This bay will be general storage



This is my whole house fan set 3,000cfm so I can flush it out quickly. I have to build a duct to the eave vent

Remember my little handy vise I picked up on a job. It is on a stand and back in action





It has a 4 1/4" opening and on castors so it is portable and I am using it. Next is probably finishing the electric and moving my workbench in

Some delays with work and crazy rain we have been having. I got my end wall sheathed and insulation up. Loft built and support/partition wall framed. Additional loft section framed to be installed and the exhaust fan will be in this piece. I will have 84 sq ft for material up off the floor and out of the way.









Next is finishing rough in wiring and insulate and sheath long wall

Very nice . .  I remember the first time I could work "inside". . . .    So much better than a gravel driveway,  with tarp if it rained.

Finally got final inspection today :) Took on a remodel job that is brutal and had no gas in the tank to do any work at home but did get work done last Saturday and called for final. Inspector was a butthead said I had to paint my stucco which as an owner/builder I did not have to do and we are repainting the whole house when summer is over. So just got paint and did it instead of wasting 2 days fighting the building department. And now it it mine to start working inside.





It mirrors the existing house and looks like it was built at same time which is very important to me. I have started inside building a loft to put long material up out of the way and gong to get insulation and plywood/osb this saturday. As far as cooling goes i have 2 original Hunter 52" fans and also I have a whole house fan which we had in hallway when we built the house. I will put it in the deck and build a chase to the vent on end so I can flush the place out in about 15 second. With roll up door and the window will have plenty of air flow. Happy I am.

Final turn now. Door and window set and roof done. Got final on framing and roof. Hopefully stucco next week and install 2 lights for a final electric and 1 wall with vinyl siding then final inspection. Of course hottest months now and plenty of rain but have some place to work ;D









Ignore the fencing we are watching 4 dogs until today

Next inspection is called a dry in that is roof membrane and drip edge. When that passes I can install soffit/facia than have 2 sides stuccoed. Still no door and window bummer.





We have heavy rains right now so an glad the tarp is gone.

Some more progress. Got sheathing and strapping inspection and rough electric. 2 switches and 3 lights I was sweating that one out ;)

Here is the roll up door. Very pleased as I don't lose any headroom inside.





Here is the inside with 1 LED light on. It will light the whole thing using 100 watts. If you have old flourescent strips or takes forever to come on discharge lighting give led's a look. Price and quality have made them a bargain.

Day 4 trusses set and tied into existing house. Inspections for tomorrow sheathing and strapping. Door and window still have not come in so a bummer on that but at least it is not holding up the roof and the little bit of electrical for now.

Day 3 wall sheathing on and started setting trusses.
