I have spent a little time around Woodburn area, my Dad's family was from Chariton, just east of Woodburn. Still have family down there. Your personal photo is a nice aggressive looking jeep. what model is it? More pics? I am sure your son is willing to wait for his own piece of American history.

 Dennis
next time we go hunting down your way I will reach out.
do you make it to jeff City for fall get together?
hoping to make my first trip there this year.

Hey there BA, Let me add another WELCOME to the forum. I have been traveling and missed your initial post. Having done a lot of deer hunting around Woodburn, Ia. your introduction got my attention, as did your M38. I militarized "Grunt" to include my sons unit markings so he could drive it around on 29 Palms in style but before I was done he left the Corp so he is going to have to wait to get his hands on it. A new top, like yours, is next on my agenda. Glad your here.

Would like stop & visit with you and check out your ride next time we go searching for jeep projects on the back roads of the mid-west. Have been lucky when looking around Ia City. Where are you located?

P3Ferris, Yes your one of those un-named but not forgotten jeepers who took the time to help me out with my DJ resto. The tubes you bent help get my bows back in a usable condition and I am grateful for the help.

 Thanks Bill!
You've guys have done a great job with the website. Its great to have all the information we can get and with the DJ being closer to the CJ3A than any other jeep, I look forward in following alongand growing my knowledge.

On my jeeps I would have to thank so many of the members on all the Jeep boards as well as our suppliers, Walcks, KW, Rons, Bizels, Jeepsterman, NLR, Beechwood and so many others including our late friend John Krage for all their service, support and friendship.Definitely a great fun hobby with lots of good people. Welcome, Bruce...Glad to have you aboard.

I've seen the Surrey in person and it is as nice as pictures make it look. Bruce is a very knowledgeable guy on these little gems, too.

Thanks guys for the comments,

the m38 I take little credit for, after sandblasting everything but hood, I blew out sand and sprayed it with primer, once primer dried I came back over it with OD AJP. I didn't use any sandpaper or bondo, just paint on it.

After replacing rear panel in trailer and painting trailer the jeep looked worn, so it was repainted 2012 to get both jeep and trailer to match a little better.
On the dj,
I found a set of red hubcaps on ebay several years ago and used those until recently finding the blue set. I like the red, wife likes the blue.
Of all the work done on the jeeps, painting is something I wish I could of had done by someone with more ability and under better conditions than in my shed. Lets just say a buffer does wonders.

Very impressive.....tough to pick a favorite out of that group!

I noticed two different color hub caps on the Surrey - blue on the driver's side and red on the passenger side. Is this how they came or did you switch colors somewhere along the line?

Wow.

That is a very nice collection of Willys Jeeps and trailer.
That is one of the nicest M-38s I've seen.  And the Surrey...boy...

Let's put it this way...if I show that photo to my wife, I'll be building her one.
