Hey folks,
This one is pretty obscure:
I'm thinking I remember seeing some sort of stiffener plate on the under side of the center top bow pockets...they were welded to the underside of the wheel wells directly under the bow pockets.
Can anyone confirm this on their original tub?

I've attached a picture with some bow pockets I fabricated using my very rusted originals as guides..(I think they're close enough) But please note the piece of manila folder cut to a size I'm guessing would be this "stiffener" plate that I think I'd like to weld to the underside of the wheel well.

The wheel well sections I removed were so bad there I only saw a hint of what I surmise to be these "plates".

Just sorta wondering if I'm on the right track by putting something like this in.

Thanks.
