Nice score. :)  Just do us a favor.  If and when you're ready to part with some of your stuff, give us friendly Willys guys a chance at it.

I bit the bullet today. I now have Jeeps galore (5 total) Now I guess I have to figure out what to do with all this stuff. I spent 2K but I should be able to make my money back and  then some. Plus I have everything I will ever need for my 3a. I think I might keep the 2a with the top. That will be my winter jeep. I have a 5 gallon bucket full of Carter W-O carbs, bell housings for a ford flathead V8 and Buick V6, starters, axles. . . the list goes on!

I've found that there are almost ALWAYS trans/TC and axles left as they seem to be the last things to rot out....everyone has them and I literally have a shed full that I can't give away. Smaller stuff is easier to sell as it can be shipped.

and I'm in need of the axles/ differentials, but like you said, the shipping is the expensive part

around here, that would be worth looking at, not many sitting around here and what there is is getting expensive, folks would want 1500 to 2 k each, just sitting in the weeds like that.   still not saying it's a good deal, but sure worth looking at.

I would be in a lot of trouble if I brought 4 more home, but I think I would jump at that deal.    I can't see too much from the photos posted, but there are some things that get you top dollar on the Willys market.  I'm seeing up to 4- CJ2A windshields in the photos.  If in decent condition, these will sell.   Grills, hoods and fenders that aren't all hacked up can bring pretty good money too.  If there are lots of small bits and pieces still there,  Cha-Ching!   As Ryan mentions...ODs, old winches, and PTO stuff are always in high demand.  Original wheels  in good condition will always sell.

The 2A with the top looks to be a "Lefty".  These are fairly rare 2As.  They were only made for a short time.  That said, I don't see a huge market of folks clamoring for them, but they are different, so the 2A guys seem to get a kick out of them.

All I really want is a complete power train that I can rebuild and drop into my 3a. I have a couple friends that  want old jeeps. I think I can get rid of the 2a easily. The 5a might be harder to get rid of. The more I think about it I might keep the 2a. I like the top it has on it. That could be my winter jeep.

I would say it depends on what you are looking to do with everything. I always go in and give certain value to any of those parts that I need for my current project. Whatever's left I calculate roughly what I think I can sell them off for to recover as much money as I can. If I don't need any of it for a project I figure what it will cost me to purchase, then drag home, and then spend the time and hassle getting it all sold again. I like to start at the end result and work backwards to determine a purchase price.

I've found that there are almost ALWAYS trans/TC and axles left as they seem to be the last things to rot out....everyone has them and I literally have a shed full that I can't give away. Smaller stuff is easier to sell as it can be shipped.

$2k seems a little steep but it's tough to say without better pictures of everything. If all four of those carcasses have overdrives and PTO winches then all of a sudden $2k is a bargain.

And don't forget to factor in the expense of what you will have to buy your wife after she sees you set 4 dead Jeeps in your yard.   ;D

I went out the other day to look at 4 Jeeps for sale for $2K. (He wants to sell everything at once) He had a 2a that ran and had a descent tub, a descent 5a that ran with a pinto motor, a 3a that was complete that had been sitting, the engine was not locked up, body was rough, and another 2a no engine, but had the t90/trans, transfer case, axles, and frame. Does this sound like a good deal?
