How about that? And the interesting thing I noticed was mine has a GDZ prefix, and yours has a GGW, but look at the end plate on mine...

And the front cap has GGW 3 cast in it under the mounting ear...

My 6 volts generator is not the model that we normally found on our jeep.
GDZ-4817A
GDZ-6001D
GGW-4801D

It's an GGW-6003A dated 10E. Based on what I found it was used on packard car late 1950.

But it does look like the original one. Without the plate, it will be hard to see the difference.

Is this an original Auto Lite generator?� The tag has been torn off and I don't know for sure.� I have always assumed it was......but you know how far that get you!
