I finally had a chance to look in a bearing catalog for cam bushing dimensions. Other than the bushing for the #1 journal the only other journal that has a size listed in the catalog is the #4 journal. That leaves #2 & 3 with no matching dimentions of a manufactured cam bushing.

There has been some discussion about putting cam bushings in the bores that don't have them. I checked the cam journal sizes of the 289-302 Ford cam and none of them match the Jeep cam size. That makes all comments about using Ford cam bushings not valid.

So, has anyone actually had the block bored and bushings installed in #2,#3 and #4. cam bores or is it just an urban legend?
