I'm pretty sure the Willys trucks had 15 inch rims with tabs for center caps, we had a set that was purchased by a truck owner. Maybe you could look that up to get the correct size?

Stock CJ-3A wheels were 16"x 4.5" and optional were 15"x 4.5". Original CJ-3A wheels did not have any provision for hubcaps.

I'm a bit confused. I have read somewhere that 16" x 4.5" rims were standard on a CJ3A with an option for 15" rims. It's tough to measure my rims with tires on, but mine are 15" x 5.5ish, maybe 6ish inches to the tire beads. They are definately 15" diameter as the current tire is a 205 85 R15. The rim width I am not as sure about. All 5 rims look like stock, but I can't find an up close photo out on the web to be sure.

Additionally,  my rims have 3 or 4 (Can't remember for sure) little nubs on them.  Perhaps where a hub cap could hold on to.

My goal is to go to NDCC tires. I think I need 700-15 tires. Either the Firestone or the STA brand. I just don't want to make this investment if they won't fit on this rim.

So,
1. What is a stock rim size and was there an option?
2. Was the size I currently have an option at the time?
3. Will a 700-15 work with my current size?
4. Will it look good and handle decent? (This Willys will be a summer driver only)
5. Firestone or STA?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Tim
