From the pics in the ad it looked decent except for the engine sitting in the bed of the jeep. The jeep was advertised as a 53 CJ3A (this is modle and year of mine), but after looking at it I saw it was an earlier 3A. Drive shafts are smaller in diameter and dataplate says CJ3A but not with the GB number. It was too dirty to see the rest of the plate. Upon further looking, the jeep has a complete original top bow set, a koenig pto winch on the front and the ever elusive rear back seat frame in excellent shape. To top it all off the body is in great shape, never wrecked with some rust in usual places but no where near what my body has now. I am so excited. There are tons of other small parts I can use also, plus a great windhield frame to boot. One thing I found unusual is that there is no pto handle between the seats instead there is a shaft coming out of the passenger floor next to the transmission hump with two handes on it to operate the winch. Unfortunately I dont see a shaft going to the winch but I see the linkage from the shaft on the passenger floor board going to the winch. I am so excited to find this jeep and I feel for what I paid (650.00) I got a good deal. When I pick it up on Monday I'll shoot some pics and post them.
