If you rebuild it yourself and it leaks it's on your dime. If you buy a rebuilt one and it leaks you have recourse. I'm with Bob, buy a rebuilt unit.

If you don't have any way to reface the seal surface in the pump housing I would just buy the complete pump.

Hi, leaking water pump, are the repair kits worth trying or should I just stick a replacment pump on, Steve.
